<p>Went for a basic wirework class conducted by <a href="http://chainofbeads.com">Izel</a> on Tuesday. (Yes, <a href="http://tomato75.blogspot.com">Paddy</a>, now I know where you stay&#8230; Bwahahaha) Learned about the basics of manipulating pins (flat-head and round-head pins) to make&#8230; Yes you&#8217;ve guessed it.. Earrings! Had a great fun twisting my pins (and my hands&#8230; LOL). Buying books and watching tutorial videos just don&#8217;t cut it, believe me. Having a real life human instructor really really helps. You can know what the guideline is, you can know whether you&#8217;re wrong or right, and when you&#8217;re wrong you can be corrected immediately! If you&#8217;re interested on learning, I highly recommend <a href="http://www.chainofbeads.com/classes.php">classes by Izel</a> <img src='http://www.mygreyworld.com/blog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> Satisfaction guaranteed <img src='http://www.mygreyworld.com/blog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> You can even ask her where to buy the beads and other jewelry parts! I got 3 namecards in hand now. Hahaha.</p>
<p>In case you don&#8217;t know, I&#8217;m a big sucker of earrings! Whenever I&#8217;m visiting a blogshop selling jewelries, I will take a look at the earrings first. No matter what.</p>
<p>And finally! I&#8217;m able to make my own earrings <img src='http://www.mygreyworld.com/blog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Just like online shops that like to name their products, lemme name my earrings too..<br />
(note : pardon the low quality of the images. My phone camera really can&#8217;t make it =/ )</p>
<p><a href="http://s37.photobucket.com/albums/e74/sylvdoanx/?action=view&#038;current=ZAp1274.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e74/sylvdoanx/ZAp1274.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br />
This one with green big beads and strands of blue-white-green beads.. I name her Lisa. The name gives the impression of shy, simple, yet elegant woman. <img src='http://www.mygreyworld.com/blog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
(By the way, the real meaning of Lisa is &#8220;My God is a vow&#8221;)</p>
<p>Next in line..<br />
<a href="http://s37.photobucket.com/albums/e74/sylvdoanx/?action=view&#038;current=ZAp1275.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e74/sylvdoanx/ZAp1275.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br />
This one&#8217;s name is &#8220;Blair&#8221;. Coz it gives the impression of a strong, confident, and outspoken girl.<br />
(Oh come on, you know I&#8217;m a big fan of Gossip Girl)<a href="http://s37.photobucket.com/albums/e74/sylvdoanx/?action=view&#038;current=MV5BMTc1Nzk4NzMxNF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTY.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e74/sylvdoanx/MV5BMTc1Nzk4NzMxNF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTY.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a></p>
<p>It looks a bit slanted.. Well actually it is. Coz I used a big and heavy bead yet the pins are very soft and delicate. So&#8230; It got slanted. It&#8217;s actually different from what I intended to be. I wanted to finish this piece with something else, but ended up with those red beads at the bottom. But that &#8220;something else&#8221; will be used later&#8230; <img src='http://www.mygreyworld.com/blog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>And for the last piece!<br />
<a href="http://s37.photobucket.com/albums/e74/sylvdoanx/?action=view&#038;current=ZAp1277.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e74/sylvdoanx/ZAp1277.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br />
Picture really sucks but there are actually blood-red swarovski crystals dangling there! Luv it..<br />
I named her&#8230; Kelly. Based on Kelly Rutherford, the actress who plays Serena&#8217;s mother on Gossip Girl, Lily Van Der Woodsen. (Lily sounds too fragile to me. Kelly sounds better..) It&#8217;s an image of elegant and graceful woman.<br />
<a href="http://s37.photobucket.com/albums/e74/sylvdoanx/?action=view&#038;current=MV5BMTQwMTUxMjUyM15BMl5BanBnXkFtZTc.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e74/sylvdoanx/MV5BMTQwMTUxMjUyM15BMl5BanBnXkFtZTc.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br />
She&#8217;s like the hottest mom ever.<br />
Anyway, this piece is that &#8220;something else&#8221; I was talking about. I wanted to attach this fan with those dangling beads to &#8220;Blair&#8221;, but I thought it would be too heavy and too long. So I decided to make this &#8220;fan&#8221; by itself and ta-dah! Another pair of earrings!</p>
<p><a href="http://s37.photobucket.com/albums/e74/sylvdoanx/?action=view&#038;current=ZAp1278.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e74/sylvdoanx/ZAp1278.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br />
All three of them. Lisa, Blair, and Kelly. Hehehe.</p>
<p>And here&#8217;s the special piece!<br />
<a href="http://s37.photobucket.com/albums/e74/sylvdoanx/?action=view&#038;current=ZAp1272.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e74/sylvdoanx/ZAp1272.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br />
Named Kinski, after my dear friend who has just been baptized to be a Catholic. This pair of earrings has an obvious message : Love Jesus who has died on the cross for you. Hope this gift will always make her remember to love the Lord.</p>
<p>And&#8230; That&#8217;s all folks! Wishing to create more and more earrings! It&#8217;s fun!!</p>
<p>P.S. now you know why I repeat the word 4 times, right? <img src='http://www.mygreyworld.com/blog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
