One of the things I like to do…

Well beside slacking off and eating something good.

I like to ridicule people, especially Indonesian celebrities! And of course their “media of expression”… The corny soap operas and the oh-so-fake reality shows and the i-just-want-to-show-off so-called talent shows.

I can say that’s my whole load of entertainment back there in Jakarta. Well, apart from my series (Grey’s Anatomy!) and films which I got freely or rather cheaply. Just find some local TV shows to watch and ridicule it. From the excess make-up, overdone acting (and sometimes no acting at all), crappy and predictable storyline, too dramatic and disgusting dramas, too many high rising voices and big eyes (you’ll see what I mean in a minute)..

Those kind of things don’t even need a translation to be ridiculed.

Singapore National Day – Happy Birthday Singapore!

Hey Singapore, happy birthday! Thank’s for giving me a nice place to live, great transportation mode (except for those speeding bus drivers), great place to study (hail SMU!), and all!

May your nation be always prosperous and happy (well I bet they’re not really happy since you hike your GST up up up!). May you always be green (please lah, don’t cut anymore trees to make apartments! FGS!).

And… erm….. I’ve got no comments for your National Day songs which I honestly think to be….errrr…. kinda too ordinary and not ear-catching. (no bad words. I won’t risk myself getting deported. hee)

All in all, happy birthday Singapura! Selamat ulang tahun! Sheng ri kuai le! (I’ve said it in every languages I know =P)

Updates on August 7th 2007

Well, I guess my (abandoned) blog deserves an update after that glorious unboxing session of Mac. I’m sorry that I’ve been MIA. As some of you might have known, I have started working (me??? That super lazy girl that calls holiday with nothing to do a luxury?? Meee???). And this work takes a whole load of my time from 930 in the morning (which means I have to wake up at 8 since the workplace is in Bukit Merah while my home is in Balestier. Here’s the map.) to 6 in the afternoon. And well… What to blog about work?

But by the way, I have something more interesting to share… The unboxing of my Harry Potter 7! I know, I’m kinda late. That’s because I ordered at Amazon.com.
