First off, the picture was edited using MS Paint so no complaints about quality will be accepted!
Will fix it after I hook up with more advanced image editing software.
Neeway, cris urged us to make a ping.sg advertisement, with the requirements being :
Size: 600 X 450 pixels
Font: Microsoft Sans Serif, 36, Strong
Font Colour: White
Phrase: Meet XXX. He/She just got Pinged. Have you?
A Ping.sg logo must always be at the top your picture because you are helping to advertise Ping.sg.
The source picture here. (Right-click and save as)
Sorry, I didn’t really meet all the requirements. For instance, 36 font looked so enormous and hideous on my picture.
So prepare yourself! Here’s mine…

Stumbled upon this from ping.sg. Since I’m kinda broke right now because of my impulsive shopping activity, here goes..

Saw loads of these flyers on my way to anywhere. MRT stations.. Bus stops…
A girl, a student from Lasalle, had been missing since about a month ago.
Her friends and family set up a website : http://findfelicia.blogspot.com
I’m posting the notice of her missing case here. Hope you, my readers, somehow saw her somewhere in Singapore (or maybe somewhere else… Who knows) and quickly inform her friends and family.
They love her so much.
Felicia.. I hope you’re alright.
When I was in Jakarta, my mother went to China with her friends. Later she brought home many (super cheap) things.
And including an iPod….
My sister was so happy to receive it. And mind you, it was a U2 iPod!!! FGS!!!
And if you don’t believe me, here it goes..
And see the Apple logo..
Looks good.
My sister and I were very tense to open the packaging.
One.. Two.. Three…
And this is what we got.
If it’s not clear enough, do click on the image to enlarge.
Man. I can’t believe it. Even an iPod can be imitated. And they sell it in the real packaging!! FGS!!
And they even have this for the background..
Well.. I’m speechless.
Nevertheless, the thing can play mp3, and another type (I don’t have the photo) can read e-books and display photos.
Don’t know how long will the thing last though.
Tsk… This is piracy, man. This is not imitating anymore. Using the real packaging and the real name (like WTF!) with modified style..
I’m sure if Apple finds out about this, the producer of this stuff will be sued real bad. Like, real bad.
Let’s see…
Oh and I just posted this now because today I’ve done something special. Out of my comfort zone. Choosing the best.
I’ve bought a MacBook. Now I’m just counting the days ’til that pretty white thingy comes to my door.
Hope it’s a right choice.
Can’t wait to unbox it and blog it thereafter!
We, the people living in Singapore, know that in MRT we don’t only sit or stand motionlessly waiting for the train to arrive at our desired stop. Some people will read, from school textbooks to cheap newspapers. Some other people will, of course, talk to his/her travel companion. Or rather… “Get cozy” with him/her. Some people simply sleep (in many different positions, if I might say). Some people play with PSP or any other portable gaming device.
But this auntie I encountered while I’m riding train to the airport to escort my friend really rocked my perspective.
After passing Expo station (1 station before Changi Airport station), this auntie started to rummage through her bag and in front of my eye, she started to dress up (no, no nudity included. She just put on her jacket) and put on her make up. I suppose she’s the airport’s employee.
Whoa. Turned out MRT’s glass window can be used for something else…
Have you ever encountered a person like this in MRT (or any other public transportation) also? Do share =)
So there you are.
12 years old, but your body has fully grown. You’ve grown to 160 cm++, with a nice medium build body. You look older than you are. Of course. You always grow up so fast. Physically, mentally.
First off, I shall tell you to be grateful and not to listen to other people’s discouraging comments. They’re just jealous of you. They’re not pretty, stunning, and head-turning. I know, you must have experienced it by now. Girls hate you when they look at you. They will look at you head-to-toe, with whatever in their minds. Boys will turn to be foxes when they look at you. One of them nearly fell down from his motorcycle.. Wait and experience that very moment. It’ll be very memorable.
Don’t mumble to yourself “What’s so wrong?”. Go on and stay strong. You have something, in fact many things, to be proud of. You’re unique. You’re different. You’re not just a pretty face. You know that, and they actually know that. They just want to be more superior than you. Now, don’t you see that they’re just a bunch of pathetic kids?
You might just realize that you have different interests and tastes than your friends. Well, it will stay like that throughout your life. But fret not, you will find people with who you can share your interests. Don’t worry dearie, at the end, you won’t be lonely.
Next thing, be wary of your friends. You maintain an attitude not calling anyone your “best friend”, but rather “close friend”. And, yeah, it will stay like that. Best friend is a special title. Don’t worry of being mean. Hold to your principle. And trust your guts while choosing close friends. Some are worthy to stay in your heart, some are too mean and not worthy to be stored in your memory. However, don’t be afraid to encounter those people. Meeting them will enrich your knowledge. And you’ll get the satisfaction at the end because, whew, look what you’ll be and look what they’ll be! Endure. Stay tough.
Oh, and, keep in shape! Really, you don’t wanna end up 20 kilos heavier than you weigh a year before. Not for your beauty. Well, maybe you will feel kind of relieved because according to traditional beauty measure, a fat girl is not really attractive and thus lowering the opportunity of the boys-turn-into-foxes thing happening. But FGS, for your health! You have a hereditary gene of diabetes, and seriously, you don’t want that.
And… Do what you love. Do what you like. Not what other people think is good. Look inside your heart, and trust that. Pray to GOD, ask Him to lead you. Don’t let other people fool you into something you don’t like or something you’re not good at. Stay close to Him coz He’s the only one who knows best…
Lastly, enjoy your life! Be happy. Dwelling deep into your depression won’t give you anything. It’s a scary endless circle and you keep revolving in it, but put it deep down in your heart, believe in yourself.
Sweet Regards,
your 18-year-old
P.S. If you don’t really understand what I’m writing because of your English language limitations, don’t worry. You’ll be fluent in about 3 years.
Why did my friend choose this to pack up the things needed to go back to Indonesia?
Like, seriously, Lius?
Seriously.
(Sorry. I watched Grey’s Anatomy way too much)
