My Grey World : Rain.. Rain… Go away…

True that Singapore is a sunny island. But when it starts raining…. Gah.

I really hate rain in Singapore. Usually it’s not heavily raining with large raindrops, but the amount of the (little) raindrops is abundant and it’s endless.

And usually it comes without any signs. Just bam! Then raaaaiiinnn… Gah.

Moral of the story : always bring an umbrella in Singapore. You just never know.

And what I hate the most is…. The road is super slippery! Not the asphalt road, but you know.. The walkway for pedestrians? I guess Singapore care more about the aesthetic value than safety. True, it’s pleasing to see colourful tiles which is arranged beautifully. But it’s slippery, FGS. Even I, a soon-to-be 18-year-old which is still very healthy and able to walk properly, often slip. From the slightest slip until the most violent slip, ask me. I’ve felt it all.

How about those elderly who can’t even walk properly? How if somehow they just slipped and can’t help themselves out?

Whenever I walk in the rain in Singapore, my heart always pounds heavily if I’m cruising through those beautifully tiled walkway. I must walk like a Javanese princess, slowly and one step at a time. Gah. I won’t mine if I’m not in a hurry, but hello? We need to be fast to commute anywhere. And when I see the asphalt road, I’m quite relieved. Means I can walk faster without any danger of slipping down and hurting some of my body parts.

How long will it rain in Singapore? I miss the overly hot sunny days…
