[...] Di Balik Awan - Peterpan (translation : Behind the clouds) I don’t have many Indonesian songs in my music library. Not that I’m not patriotic whatsoever, it’s just that I’m too used to English songs since I was small. My mother listens to English songs ever since I was so small (mother said my favourite song is The End Of The World by Skeeter Davis. Look at this post for more info). Peterpan is a very famous band in Indonesia. My brother likes them so much. Hmm, maybe that was an understatement. My brother used to play their songs in loop (IN LOOP) many many times using the home’s hi-fi. At first, of course it’s ok, but then if you’re still sleeping and forced to hear the same song again and again, er……. “Tempatku melihat di balik awan, aku melihat di balik hujan…” (The place for me to see behind the clouds, I see behind the rain..)
hmm. geez. It got caught in the spam again. Weird.. Nothing's wrong with your post...

Hmm according to your definition then, my childhood song was Michael Learns To Rock's songs. My favourite is "That's Why". Ha ha ha.

Yeah, I know, but that's what my 'childhood song' is, since I don't have an experience similar to yours in this case (my parents aren't big fans of music) :P

Caught in spam box? How could that happen?
Oh, perhaps because I put an URL there?

tania, i think it's a different type of childhood song. This song, I didn't even realize that I liked it. =P until one day, I heard this song again and it sounded sooooooo familiar and then my mom told the story (the cry-then-stop-because-of-songs one).

Apparently my parents really loved to hear music. When I grew up I found many many familiar tunes which turned out to be the favourite songs of my parents (which means the played it quite often).

Btw, ur comment was previously caught in the spam box you know. Ha ha.

Childhood song? I can't remember anything other than 'Balonku Ada Lima', 'Bintang Kecil', and... you know what I mean. That was when I was 5 or so.

In elementary school, however, I liked 'Try Again' and 'The Perfect Fan' (http://www.lyrics007.com/Backstreet%20Boys%20Lyrics/The%20Perfect%20Fan%20Lyrics.html) by Backstreet Boys, 'Everyday I Love You' by Boyzone, 'Only Love' by Trademark. Hehe.
