The Honest SMU-er

I blogwalked today instead of doing something more meaningful like making the use case to my self-service book auction program.

I arrived in Popagandhi, and by googling it I know she’s quite popular in Singapore’s blogosphere. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Her recent post caught me in one glance, because, of course, the title contains my school’s name : the beloved SMU.

The first sentence was like a big “Huh?” for me (accompanied with bigger eyes and opened mouth). She’s an SMU student too! Gash.

And there goes.. A honest, true feelings about SMU.

Hmm. Wonder why I haven’t written about something similar like it, yet, like what I did to my high school in my Friendster blog? (posts in Indonesian)

I’m still an ambassador. Enuff said. Sigh.

Vista? Mac?

My friend Martin was sent this e-mail as seen below.

I asked him to forward it into my e-mail, in the middle of BGS class. ha ha

I dunno but it’s somehow ambiguous to me.

Especially this very line.

If you’re thinking of upgrading to Vista, you’ll probably need a new computer.

Seriously, what popped into my mind at the first time is :

If you’re thinking of upgrading to Vista, duh? Your computer will break down. You’ll probably need a new computer.

Whoopsie. Turned out the phrase can also be interpreted in another way. See this for more info.

Heh. I just know that Mac can run Windows and Microsoft Office (thx martin for the info). Brilliant. I never eyed Mac before because my specific school (means the School of Information Systems) is so in love with Microsoft. Oh FYI, I have Microsoft softwares for free because of that, including the Windows Vista. Mwahahahaha. So far I’ve downloaded quite a lot of softwares from my e-academy. Including Project (for the sake of project management’s project. Never used it again though), Visio (damn crucial for my Data Management class. Those E-R diagrams), and OneNote (the shared workplace feature is my substitute of MSN Messenger.Oops. Windows Live Messenger).

Omigosh. So many links. And I’m doing this in a middle of BGS class. Ha ha. Signing off.

BY THE WAYYYY
anybody to buy me a MacBook? =D (hover over the link)

Wheee

Hmm. I’m quite amazed. Take a look.

(click to enlarge if you can’t see clearly)
For such an unimportant post, it’s quite an accomplishment.

OMG. I should really start reading my BGS (Business, Government, and Society) book. I haven’t started reading it, and I have a quiz on 8.30 AM. Brilliant. I wonder if I will ever sleep?

Gee. I guess I would never build and maintain a large corporation like those being discussed in my book. Too many trouble, regarding the stakeholder and all that. Can’t really explain to you since I’m a bit blur (gah. What’s the proper English word for blur??) about it too. The whole point of the course is, don’t you neglect those people outside your business, outside your suppliers-customers-employees. They might just ruin you. Into ashes. And you can’t get back.

Yeah. That explains all.

Now tell me. Should I sleep or read that 26-pages-long chapter which is described by my professor as “short and easy”?

Or.. Maybe I should just reschedule this class to the Thursday’s class. I heard the prof has a class on Thursday, which is the day when I have no class at all. Sounds brilliant.

Sigh.

Study with style……….

Certainly not the case when your stupid laptop breaks down. Even I can tell.

Oh and how can you can tell that the boy is actually MSN-ing, not studying? See his expression. See, see.

*sighs deeply*

Oh btw, this picture here is not -another- advertisement from SMU. It’s a result of a CT (Creative Thinking) project by some of SMU students. Anyone care to tell me who actually made it? Coz I want to credit him. He he.

I hope SMU won’t use it as its advertisement though. I can’t believe how many innocent young people will get bluffed.

Sylv is here….

If you guys have been wondering why the hell can I still be online, blogging this, buzzing you (it might just be you) on MSN/YM, or other internet-ty things despite my loss of that stupid A**r laptop, fret not! It’s not Sylv’s ghost! Nor my identity has been compromised like my credit card number on PayPal by some immoral phishers. (ed’s note : true story)

The reason is.. My lovely school has given me a laptop loan. Short term, just for two weeks. But it’s better than none.

It’s not a good-looking laptop, i can tell. Scratches on the cover.. Broken latch.. Stylus (oh it’s a tablet pc anyway) that doesn’t work.. Well I can’t use it as a normal tablet pc, that’s the whole point. I can’t draw or write a note on the screen. And it only have 2 usb ports. That means I can only attach my USB mouse (this laptop’s touchpad doesn’t have the scroll function, unlike my A**R) and one external disk. Be it my external hard drive or my flashdisk. Yah. That explains all.

But, well, it’s not that bad either. It’s not as heavy as my A**r. It doesn’t get hot easily (unlike my A**r). Its battery is quite long-lasting. The charger is quite light.

I haven’t heard from my A**r since I sent him to the “hospital”. The “doctor” said it would take 3 days, minimal. I’ve sent him since Monday and haven’t heard about him ever since. Guess his disease is very bad. >_<

After he’s healed, what should I do? Back with that A**r.. Sigh…

I really want a new laptop. Care to buy me one? Currently I’m quite attracted to VAIOs, as seen below :

Hmm… I’m just testing to post something from flickr.. Heh heh.. Oh yeah btw I already got a laptop loan.. Not good, i can tell you. Sigh…
