Guy Of The Month – January 2007

Yeay. To satisfy you my female readers, here I present to you, my newest feature, to be up monthly,

Guy Of The Month

No exact requirements, actually.

But without further ado, here I present to you ladies and gentlemen!!!

Andy Giarto

MyGreyWorld.com’s Guy Of The Month
January 2007

Name : Andy Giarto
Nickname : Age (closest pronounciation in English : Uh-Gae)
Age : To hell with that, he said :-p
Current Education : Singapore Management University Undergraduate (year 1), Bachelor of Business Management programme, under Foreign Students Endowed Scholarship.
Co-Curricular Activities : SMUKI (SMU Komunitas Indonesia – SMU Indonesian Community), Fencing
Vital size : You wish :-p
Contact : I’ll ask for permission first. Meanwhile, any contact can be directed to sylv[at]mygreyworld[dot]com :-D

Cool, calm, confident. No this is not S.T. Dupont advertisement. Ugh. They should pay me for this.

Anyway, on a serious note.

Fencing! Doesn’t that sound sexy? If you regard playing with sword is sexy, of course. Nevertheless, this sword guy still managed to keep his grades to satisfy the scholarship requirements. Babes with brains are sexy, are they not?

So ladies, go grab him while stocks last! That means, before he got hooked up with the new freshman girls… :-p

Sylv’s rating : highly recommended! :-D

So people, if you wanna nominate yourself or other hot guys, just remember to send the name and biodata plus some additional details if you wish, of course to..

There are really no restricted requirements, just two basic rule :

  1. Must be over 17. I don’t wanna expose kids. Sorry, even if the boy you nominated is as handsome as my super handsome soon-to-be-11-year-old younger brother, I still don’t want an immature boy to be exposed in my adult blog. (as if I was an adult. ha ha ha )
  2. Must be single. What’s the point being featured when he’s already taken? :-p

Oh and sorry girls, there is no “Girl of The Month” since I’m the Mygreyworld.com’s Girl of All Time!

Mwahaha. I can’t stop laughing.

I am so IS student

Testriffic.com

Desai surely loves me.. No?

Innovation is the thing. Yea babe.

Technology Failed Me

Although I have the fastest browser and the most reliable browser, my laptop seems to hate me.. :(

It went black out two times in a row in the middle of the class of Object Oriented Application Development (read : programming class)

I don’t know why but every electronic thing that I own always failed on me. Name it. My cellphone, my laptop, my desktop computer at Indonesia, and the list goes on..

I wonder. Do i have that anti-technology aura?

Sad thing. For I love technology so much. :(

Another victim of technology.

Just rambling at night

Gee. From my bedroom’s window, I can see the big SMU logo. It’s the logo embedded at SMU administration building.

I don’t usually see it because usually the curtain will be closed.

I don’t know. I know I’m truly a student of SMU but somehow it gives me creeps.

Ha ha.

Here it is. Can you see it? The white light in the middle..

Here’s the magnified version. Please pardon my phone camera.

This is the real SMU logo.

Oh, and click on this link if you want to play the SMU logo game. (I’m serious)

Gee. I should read my slides.

P.S.
I closed my curtain. Ha ha.

The Cheating Vending Machine

SMU is so damn cool that it provides its students with vending machines along with water cooler to ease their thirst!

But it’s not just that. They even managed to put two, not one, vending machines in the concourse, which is undoubtedly a public area.

Hosted by Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

It even contributes to the public!

My favourite is the vending machine in the concourse below SESS. COz it sells my fave Season Lemon Tea for only 1.30 while 7-11 sells it for 1.70. Can you see the difference?? And you can also pay by ez-link card or cashcard. Well, I never tried it but I think it’s cool for you guys who are too rich to have coins.

Sadly, this vending machine doesn’t like me the way I like it. It likes my money more than it likes me.

The point is, it sometimes received my coins but refused to vend me the drink I want!

How immoral! Money cheater!

But somehow, today, I guess it apologized to me.

I got thirsty after I eat my delicious 3-dollars mee goreng. Off I went to that cheater vending machine bringing 1.50 dollars in coins.

I put my coins in.

I select the drink. Today, it’s not Seasons Lemon Tea but some-brand Orange Pomeade or something. Well it won’t hurt to try something new.

It moved to my selected drink. My selected drink dropped to the belt! But then it stopped…….

………………………………………….

Felt cheated.

But then.

Kaching! Wah! It returned my coins. Yeay babe. Yeay. Complete.
It’s like it’s trying to tell me “Sorry Sylv, I failed. I’m miserable. I don’t deserve your $1.50″.

Then I tried to insert my coins again, and vend the same item.

Oh wow. It moved. The bottle dropped. The belt moved!

Oh yeayyy. I got two bottles now.

Mwahahahahahaha.

Now who’s cheating??

I gave away my second bottle to Wongso, my friend, who happened to meet me.

It’s your lucky day, Wongso.

And if you read this, your pink shirt is just…. appealing. 0,0

Mwahahahahaaha.

The Nun Has A Blog!

Mwahahahaha.

Check this out, people!

Made it in just half an hour or so.

Gee, I should offer my blog-making service! =P

Anyone to pray with Sister Maria? =P

Blogging contest?

Hello guys.

I just got an e-mail on my walla mailbox which arrived at December 31st (I was too lazy to check my spambox e-mail. hahaha. usually only spam arrive at my walla, and apparently I set it up for that.) that invited me to join a blogging contest. Check it out here.

Check out what they said:

We have identified your blog as one of the popular youth blog around

And I just moved to Singapore 4 months ago. Ha ha ha.

Never mind, people. I’m on for the contest! =p

Open Source?

Yeay. New category (again??).

Spotted from an article from Kompas which I retrieved from its website.

Bermunculannya situs penyedia layanan blog gratis (open source) semacam Blogspot, youTube, Myspace, Livejournal, serta Friendster kian memanjakan pengguna.

Translation : The appearance of the websites which provide free (open source) blogging service like blogspot, youtube, myspace, livejournal, and friendster makes users more convenient.

Those who know may have known by now.

Okay. Spotted! (it’s like a tagline or something)

free (open source)
gratis (open source)

Hello??? Free isn’t the same with open source! It’s true that open source project is free. But different “free”. As quoted in GNU, it’s free as in free speech, not as in free beer! So, the free blogging platforms mentioned (hey, YouTube isn’t blogging platform is it?), is obviously not open source!

Open source refers to the freedom to access the source code of the program (actually it’s more oftenly used in software). Plus, you can modify it and distribute it, for free.

See the difference? More information can be seen here.

Furthermore, referring a website as an open source website can be
inaccurate. (I’m not really sure about this though. Can someone please
enlighten me?)

OMG. It’s Kompas! The biggest and the most influential newspaper in Indonesia! The paper that my Indonesian Language teacher referred to as the best example of using language rightly and correctly!

Tsk. I wonder what happened in Kompas. Publishing an article like this will surely cause Indonesia-wide misunderstanding. Now blessed be you who read that article and now read my blog post. Be alerted!
