The fundamental difference between the two movements is in their values, their ways of looking at the world. For the Open Source movement, the issue of whether software should be open source is a practical question, not an ethical one. As one person put it, “Open source is a development methodology; free software is a social movement.” For the Open Source movement, non-free software is a suboptimal solution. For the Free Software movement, non-free software is a social problem and free software is the solution.

RMS : http://www.stallman.org, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Stallman

soal pemilihan kata, RMS tuh sensitif banget. free software dibilang open source aja bisa ngomel, GNU/Linux dibilang Linux ngomel juga.

oh yang bikin GNU toh.. eh free software bukannya mank open source? Maksudnya klo freeware dibilang open source kali? Freeware ma open source emang beda.. Lumayan jauh pula. Hehe.

huehue... totally agree with you. it's free service(s) but not an open source!

and the placement of "YouTube" among the rest of blog-sites signify the writer didn't do decent research (or maybe didnt do ANY research) at all lolz =P

ya that's why.. I can't accept the fact that they're doing it on Kompas! I mean, I believe in Kompas all my life about the right spelling or grammar about Indonesian language but this stuff just turned me off.
